You can swap in and out modules (inspired by classics such as the Minimoog & SH), and each of the 5 filter set-up’s included have a sound of their own.

Synthesizers give you the power to craft any sound imaginable with one tool, but that breadth of possibilities can be intimidating. With their extensive arrays of controls, synths can look more like the cockpit of a spaceship than a musical instrument to the uninitiated. To listen to music created with my synthesizer built from the BasicSynth library, visit music pages on the author's website, or search for "Daniel R. Mitchell" on streaming websites (e.g. iTunes, Spotify). The pages on this website are excerpts from the book, BasicSynth: Creating a Music Synthesizer in Software (ISBN: ).

Hi guys I'm in need of a little help here, I'm trying to find a good book or tutorial for "Synths" Basically what I'm looking for with this book is to be able to understand all the parameters in all those virtual synths and tweak those knob knowing what I'm doing (well atleast a bit) than just randomly.

Mark Vail is the best explainer and historian of music synthesizers that I know. I highly recommend this book, which is a whole lot of fun to read. (Roger Linn, Roger Linn Design) About the Author.
