As we can see, if one were to “demythologize” the book of Acts, as those of a liberal bent are wont to do, much would be missing concerning the amazing growth and development of the early church. In fact, we would have a difficult time explaining how so many Greeks, Romans, and “barbarians” (i.e., non-Greeks), obeyed the gospel. One realistic-fiction book that I read recently was *A Time of Miracles*. The book's plot points and events are similar to **ALWtW** in a multitude of ways: a young boy born in a rural land is found traveling to places of refuge after war breaks out.

Both books have a theme of loss and recovery/5. When Koumaïl turns seven the Caucasus becomes a war filled place and Gloria decides they must flee west to Europe.

The traveling spans across five years, with stays here and there. The whole time Koumaïl asks Gloria to repeat the story of how he came to be with her, as if her words would help him figure out who he is/5(16).

"The Miracle Worker" by William Gibson is based on Helen Keller's first discovery that words, and that most famous word of all for Helen Keller, "W-A-T-E-R," have the potential to release Helen. MIRACLE LIFE TABERNACLE INTERNATIONAL MINISTRIES is called to win the lost, and to teach Christians world-wide who they are in Christ Jesus and how to live a victorious life – with all their covenant rights and privileges. This takes place when we are rooted and grounded in God’s Word and then reach out to others with these same principles.

Miracle’s Boys is a young adult novel by Jacqueline Woodson featuring three young brothers of African-American and Puerto Rican descent growing up without parents in.

The Miracle is a film directed by Irving Rapper and starring Carroll Baker and Roger is a remake of the hand-colored, black-and-white film The Miracle, which was in turn a production of the pantomime play, The Miracle, written by Karl Vollmöller and directed by Max Reinhardt.

The film version for Warner Bros. was shot in Technirama and Technicolor, with an. Summary. The Gospel of John is the latest-written of the four biographies of Jesus that have been preserved in the New Testament. Written by a Christian named John, the contents of the book indicate quite clearly that the author was not the John who was one of the twelve disciples of Jesus, for it contains no direct personal references of the type that one would expect from an intimate.

– The New York Times Book Review. Jonathan Toomey is the best woodcarver in the valley, but he is always alone and never smiles. No one knows about the mementos of this lost wife and child that he keeps in an unopened drawer.

Book Review: The Hiding Place The Hiding Place, by Corrie ten Boom (this is the edition I have) I realize that many people out there have read this book, possibly in high school for an English or history assignment, but since I've only got into reading in the past few years I'm a little behind the times.

For Gibson, keys and locks evoke the way Helen’s mind works.
